THE CITY MAYOR CALLED ASSEMBLY MEMBERS TO BE MORE ACTIVE
The XXIX session of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan was held with the agenda "30 years of unity, peace and reconciliation". During the session the Elbasy, the Chairman of the KPA N.Nazarbayev highlighted the significant achievements over the past thirty years and set specific tasks for the Assembly to further strengthen social harmony and national unity.
– In accordance with the Constitutional Law "On the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan-Elbasy", the Law on the Assembly, I have been granted the right to hold the post of Chairman of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan for term of life. In general, I will always be with you, I do not refuse. Nevertheless, a number of powers to manage the Assembly are assigned to the President of the country. But, even that doesn't matter. The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan should stand next to the current President, and, on the other hand, the Head of State also relies on the Assembly. Therefore, I decided to transfer the right to head the Assembly to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, "-said Elbasy.
 Shymkent city mayor, chairman of the city KPA Murat Aitenov, members of the Assembly, representatives of ethno-cultural associations took part in the online mode.
The Mayor of the city called the members of the Assembly, in general, residents, to contribute to the development of our city, to work together.
- Elbasy noted that the members of the Assembly should be more active. Every citizen has the right to open a business and work. The budget of our city has increased several times. To do business, there are enough financial institutions. The city's economy needs new technologies, new investments. Where there is unity, there is stability. Now we only need to work, " said the city mayor.
Today, representatives of different ethnic groups live together in Shymkent. Representatives of ethnic groups make a significant contribution to the socio-cultural development of the city.
