ABOUT 3 THOUSAND ROAD SIGNS WILL BE INSTALLED IN SHYMKENT THIS YEAR
A lot of work is carried out annually in order to regulate traffic in Shymkent city. As a result, the number of road accidents in the city decreased.
This year, there will be 600 metres of artificial roadblocks, 2,600 road signs, 15 active pedestrian crossings, 16 traffic lights, 250 stops and 215 kilometres of road markings.
According to the City Passenger Transport and Highways Directorate, several of them have been implemented since the beginning of the year to date. In particular, there are 850 road signs and an artificial obstacle of 100 metres. The road is marked on 45 km. Three active pedestrian crossings have been established.
In addition, in order to resolve traffic jams, right-hand exits will be organized at the intersections of Sypyrgan ata - Al-Farabi, Sypyrgan Tas-Temerlan Highway, Ryskulov - Adyrbekov, Argynbekov – Utegenov, Ryskulov – Shayakhmetov, Shayakhmetov – Argynbekov, Ryskulov - Kaziev, Argynbekov-Baiterekov.
