3,482 PEOPLE WERE VACCINATED OVER THE PAST DAY

Compliance with sanitary and epidemiological requirements in Shymkent city territory is under constant control. Over the past day, 593 objects were inspected (559 business objects, 34 private objects). Of these, 17 facilities have been found to be in violation of quarantine regulations and administrative protocols have been drawn up.
On April 20, 2021, 3,482 people were vaccinated in the city (component I-3,396, component II-86). A total of 71,284 people have been vaccinated since the start of the vaccination campaign. Of these, 7,004 people received two components of the vaccination. Over the past day, 80 cases of COVID infection were registered (symptomatic - 56, asymptomatic-24). 24 people were hospitalized in an infectious hospital, 56 people were taken to home quarantine.
Currently, there are only 1,290 places in specialized infectious diseases hospitals (city infectious diseases center-490, Atameken clinic-450, Orynbayev  - 70 places, medical center No. 14 – 250, city perinatal center – 30). The occupancy rate of the beds is 34%, 844 beds are available.
The only way to defeat the epidemic is through vaccination. We urge citizens to be more responsible for their health and get vaccinated.
