FARABI SCIENTISTS GATHERED IN SHYMKENT
Today, an international scientific and theoretical conference on the theme "Al-Farabi's Legacy-the treasures of civilization" was held at the Al-Farabi Scientific and Universal Library in Shymkent.
The meeting dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the great scientist Al-Farabi was held by the Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician Sattar Mazhitov, and the event was opened by the first Deputymayor of Shymkent city Shyngys Mukan.
"Today's conference is held on a national scale. The Shymkent city pays great attention to the in-depth study of the heritage of Al-Farabi. The library "Otyrar" was renamed "Al-Farabi" and in the future we plan to make a library of "Farabi Studies". Since, the great scientist began to look for knowledge in Otyrar-between Shymkent and Turkestan. Therefore, we named such a large library in honor of Al-Farabi, " Shyngys Mukan said.
In addition, the conference addressed the issues of attracting the attention of the population and the public to the rich creative and scientific heritage of Abu Nasr al-Farabi, studying the scientific heritage, creating a single database on the scientific materials of the scientist.
The event is attended by Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Absattar Derbisali, famous scientist, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Garifolla Yesim and representatives of the intelligentsia of our country Marhabat Baigut, Sattar Mazhitov, Umitkhan Munalbayeva, Barshagul Kashkanovna and Abdulla Zhumashev. In addition, Honored Professor of France Albert Fischler and Professor of the Ohio University of the USA James Patrick took part online and thanked Kazakhstan for not forgetting the scientist-educator and passing on their work to the younger generation.
