SHYMKENT: SUPPORT FOR SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES

In Shymkent, special attention is paid to small and medium-sized businesses. So, in the city in more than 72 thousand subjects of small and medium business more than 160 thousand people are employed.
Anti-crisis measures were also taken. In order to restore the financial condition of entrepreneurs, support was provided to 1,482 entities by deferring payments on a loan in the amount of 13 billion tenge. In connection with the pandemic, more than 26 thousand business entities are exempt from paying property tax and income tax.
In the next 5 years, the President instructed to increase the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the gross domestic product by 35% by 2025, and the number of employees - up to 4 million people.
To this end, 2.5 billion tenge was allocated to the city this year as part of the "Иusiness Roadmap - 2025".
Today, the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the gross regional product of the city is 28.4 percent.
