"IKOMEK" PROVIDES RESIDENTS WITH INFORMATION ABOUT ROUTES ONLINE
At an online hardware meeting chaired by Shymkent city mayor Murat Aitenov, the head of the Directorate of passenger transport and highways reported on the work done on complaints from residents.
In total, 1040 public transports of 20 transport companies serve passengers daily on 64 routes in the city.
In this regard, the main goal is to reduce the number of population's complaints about the operation of public transport. CSI "Center of dispatching service" of this Department controls and regulates the movement of buses on routes, checks the operation of each route.
- Since the beginning of the year, 273 warning letters have been sent to transport companies about the need to take appropriate measures to comply with the law and contract terms, and to organize work on routes. For the detected violations, transport companies take the necessary measures, - said the head of the Directorate Ye. Zholdasov.
In addition, on the basis of the programme used by "DCS", the integration of the service "iKomek" was carried out. He noted that currently the specialists of the iKomek service provide the population with information about routes online.
After listening to the speaker's report, the city mayor instructed to take strong measures against transport companies that do not comply with contract terms in accordance with the law, and if necessary, resolve the issue in court.
