GROSS AGRICULTURAL OUTPUT INCREASED BY 4.7 BLN TENGE.
The area of agricultural land of Shymkent city is 62,600 hectares. According to the results of 11 months of 2020, 27.9 thousand hectares or 70.6 per cent of 39.5 thousand hectares of arable land were developed in this year.
According to the Directorate of agriculture and veterinary medicine of Shymkent city, today 59.3 thousand tons of agricultural crops have been harvested from 27.9 thousand hectares: 14.0 thousand tons of grain, 2.4 thousand tons of oilseeds, 2.4 thousand tons of potatoes, 29.7 thousand tons of vegetables, melons and 10.8 thousand tons of feed.
According to animal husbandry data for 11 months, the volume of meat production was 13.1 thousand, milk - 44.0 thousand tons, eggs-146.1 million pieces, the number of cattle was 78.5 thousand heads, sheep and goats-99.6 thousand, horses-14.3 thousand, camels-29 heads and birds - 1 075.5 thousand heads.
2 848.7 million tenge of subsidies were allocated for state support of agriculture in 2020, 2 285.0 million tenge allocated for the reporting period were used by 100 per cent .
As a result, the volume of gross agricultural output in January-November 2020 amounted to 34.0 billion tenge, compared to the same period last year increased by 4.7 billion tenge.
