ISSUE OF OPENING A BRANCH OF THE UNIVERSITY OF SINGAPORE IN SHYMKENT WAS DISCUSSED
Shymkent city mayor Murat Aitenov met online with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Singapore, Australian Union and New Zealand Arken Arystanov.
The issue of opening a branch of the Singapore MDIS University in Shymkent was discussed in the meeting. The IHE trains the most popular specialists. And what specialties will be taught in Shymkent will be determined as a result of bilateral agreements. It is planned to open a non-profit branch of the University of social direction.

An official visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Singapore is planned in 2021. During the visit, issues of holding cultural events to promote the tourist and investment potential of Shymkent city were also discussed.
