PREPARATION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS SERVICE FOR THE WINTER SEASON
Shymkent hosted an event on the readiness of emergency and municipal services for the winter period.
The readiness of special equipment was checked by the city mayor M. Aitenov, Deputy heads of the Department of emergency situations, Colonel of civil protection M. Zhaksybayev and Colonel Zh. Karimbayev. The event was also attended by road patrol police officers.
The purpose of the event is the readiness of road maintenance equipment for emergency rescue operations in case of winter emergencies, to check the stock of inert material, to determine the technical condition and performance of special equipment.
In total, the city service of municipal and technical support includes 5 organizations: LTD Turmys LLP, Yugdorservis, Baiterek LB, Nurtas servis and Zhasyl Zher. These organizations serve 299 streets with a length of 1012.16 km.
5000 tons of salt and 17217 m3 of sand have been prepared from inert materials for the winter heating season. As well as 182 units of equipment and 670 personnel. In addition, 28 units of equipment of the Department of emergency situations of Shymkent city are ready. The total number of vehicles is 210 units (high-terrain vehicles, augers, dump trucks, graders, bulldozers, loaders, etc.).
During the inspection of readiness of equipment issues maintenance fixed road sections, as well as issues on prevention and liquidation of emergency situations with hazardous weather phenomena of the winter period.
All the shortcomings identified during the inspections will be considered at a meeting of the city Commission for emergency situations.
