SHYMKENT: 24.7 BILLION TENGE HAS BEEN DISBURED IN THE FIELD OF AUTO ROAD
This year, road construction works are well underway in Shymkent. Mayor of the city M. Aitenov worked out the progress of work in the road sector of the city.
In 2020, a total of 3 33.8 billion tenge was allocated to the Department of passenger transport and auto roads (Republican budget – 10.8 billion tenge, the local budget-23.0 billion tenge).

So, this year 25.4 billion tenge was allocated to the auto roads. As of November 1, 2020, 24.7 billion tenge or 73.1% has been disbursed.
In addition, construction and repair work in the city this year took place on 261 objects or 416.8 km of roads and streets. In particular, 236 objects (306.7 km) were put into operation in 2020.
The total length of roads in Shymkent is about 3 thousand km. Including: 1,8 thousand km-paved, the remaining 1,2 thousand km-gravel and dirt roads. By the end of the year, it is planned to increase the indicator of roads in good and satisfactory condition by 3.5% and bring it to 60%.
