IN SHYMKENT PCR LABORATORIES CAN TAKE ABOUT 3,500 TESTS A DAY
This was announced at a briefing in the Information and communication center by the head of Shymkent city Health Directorate Bakytzhan Pozilov.
- 9 PCR laboratories have been opened to serve the city's population. They have the ability to perform about 3,500 tests a day. Currently, between 1,500 and 2,000 tests are carried out per day. Up to the present day, 116,591 PCR tests have been performed. As for beds, there are 1,060 in the city. Of these, 560 are infectious and 500 are quarantined. Currently, 156 patients are being treated in infectious and quarantine hospitals," - said Bakytzhan Zholdasbekovich.
According to the head of Directorate, the epidemiological situation in the third megalopolis is under constant control and a lot of work is being done to prevent the spread of coronavirus infections.
It is worth noting that from March 24 to October 29, 2020, 5,231 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in the city. Of these, 2,662 are symptomatic, and 2,569 are asymptomatic. Also, 5,152 of them recovered. And, from August 1 to October 29 of this year, 985 cases were registered with symptoms of COVID-19 and (ICD-10 - U07.2) pneumonia.
