SHYMKENT: ATHLETES WON 112 GOLD, 96 SILVER, 92 BRONZE MEDALS IN 9 MONTHS
Athletes from Shymkent have achieved good results at the National Championships and various International competitions from the beginning of the year. The city is carrying out methodical work on the development of sports infrastructure and popularization of mass sports.
According to the city Directorate of physical culture and sports, in 9 months the city's athletes took part in the Championships, Cups and Championships of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winning 112 gold, 96 silver and 92 bronze medals. They won 2 silver and 3 bronze medals at the Asian Championships and Cups, as well as 1 bronze medal at the World Championships and Cups.
According to the results of 9 months of 2020, 7 "Masters of sports of international class", 52 "Masters of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan", 104 candidates master of sports were prepared.
Today, preparations are underway for the XXXII Summer Olympic games 2021.
