SHYMKENT: MEASURING INSTRUMENTS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED FOR USERS OF SUBSURFACE RESOURCES
In Shymkent city, subsurface users were introduced an obligation to install measuring instruments (scales) in the quarry in order to prevent damage to the city's roads by heavy goods vehicles.
According to experts of the Directorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of Shymkent, only 10 subsurface resources users have voluntarily fulfilled this obligation. The remaining 19 subsurface users were sued by the Shymkent Economic Court in order to impose a binding obligation.
As a result, to date, all 19 subsurface resources users have received a positive Court decision on the installation of scales.
According to the results of 9 months of this year, 16 contracts of subsoil users who did not fulfill their contractual obligations were terminated prematurely with the consent of both parties. 11 of them were made with the consent of both parties, and 5 were made by letter from the local executive body.
Currently, the number of remaining subsurface resources users on the city territory is 22. Including: 10 – producers of sand – gravel mixture, 11-soil and 1 – quartz sand.
