SHYMKENT: AN EXTRAORDINARY MEETING OF THE EMERGENCY COMMISSION WAS HELD
An extraordinary meeting of the city commission for the prevention and elimination of emergency situations was held under the chairmanship of Shymkent city mayor Murat Aitenov.
The Commission meeting have considered the issues of preparation for the winter period, prevention of carbon monoxide poisoning during the heating period, as well as issues of flood-prone areas of the city.
Speaking at the meeting, the head of the Department of Emergency Situations of Shymkent Nurbolat Derbisov noted that special equipment of the Department is ready for the winter period.
Measures aimed at eliminating flood-prone areas in the city's reservoirs were also discussed, and it was proposed to consider the possibility of purchasing and installing gas alarms in the homes of socially vulnerable families.
Following the meeting of the commission, the city mayor gave instructions to the heads of relevant sectors to check the readiness of municipal service equipment.
