SOCIAL SURVEY

In the first half of 2024, a social survey was conducted to determine the level of proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English among residents of Shymkent. The survey was carried out by Individual Entrepreneur “Amankulova,” selected as the winner through the public procurement portal of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

A total of 2,000 respondents aged 18 and above participated in the survey. Participants were selected based on gender, age, education level, and place of residence. The results were as follows:

• share of respondents proficient in the state language – 97.8%;
• share of respondents proficient in Russian – 87.6%;
• share of respondents proficient in English – 24.2%.

At the end of 2024, another social survey was conducted to assess the level of proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English among residents of Shymkent. The survey was carried out by Individual Entrepreneur “Ybyrai,” selected through the public procurement portal of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The study involved 2,000 respondents aged 16 and above, selected based on gender, age, education level, and place of residence. The results were as follows:

• share of respondents proficient in the state language – 98%;
• share of respondents proficient in Russian – 87.8%;
• share of respondents proficient in English – 24.4%.
