Border Guards Suppressed Illegal Transfer of Fuels and Lubricants

Despite the temporary restrictions on the export of gasoline, diesel fuel and certain types of oil products in force in the Republic of Kazakhstan, some individuals and legal entities are attempting to illegally move fuels and lubricants.

On November 13, 2021, the military of the Border Service of the NSC at the checkpoint "Chaldovar" (railway) of the Merken district of the Zhambyl region prevented an attempt to illegally export from the territory of Kazakhstan, presumably 68 tons of diesel fuel and 120 tons of gasoline (the type of fuel will be established by examination). The transportation of three fuel tanks was carried out by a freight train under the guise of gas condensate.

According to the results of the examination, the detained goods are planned to be transferred to the Department of State Revenues in the Zhambyl region for making a procedural decision. The preliminary cost of the retained fuel was about 50 million tenge.
