Department of Trade and Consumer Protection of Kostanay region held a dialog platform with representatives of trade networks, manufacturers and government agencies

In order to solve the problematic issues of local producers on the implementation of products among competing goods from other countries, as well as regarding access to trade networks on December 7, 2023 the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Trade and Consumer Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kostanay region held a meeting in the format of a dialogue platform with representatives of trade networks, manufacturers and government agencies.

The meeting was attended by the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Kostanay region, Kostanay regional territorial inspection of the Committee of Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Chamber of Entrepreneurs of Kostanay region «Atameken», domestic producers of chicken meat («BPF Zhas-Kanat» LLP, «Poultry-Agro» LLP) and sausages («Ayan-ozat» LLP) and representatives of retail chains (Solnechny, Astykzhan, Mercury).

During the meeting voiced problematic issues of local producers related to the lack of raw materials, namely pork meat due to the ban on imports from the Russian Federation since October 2023, as well as on the requirements for exports to the Russian Federation on sampling of imported food products. Meanwhile, when importing products from a neighboring country to the Republic of Kazakhstan is sufficient certificates of conformity.

In addition, representatives of trading networks «Astykzhan-Kostanai», «Solnechny», «Mercury» were heard at the dialog platform and came to the general opinion that there are no problematic issues in mutual cooperation between producers and trading networks. At the same time, local commodity producers expressed their desire to send their proposals on the voiced issues in writing.
