About bread prices

On November 1 of this year, in Taraz, employees of the Department of Trade and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Department of Entrepreneurship and Industrial and Innovative Development of the Akimat of Zhambyl region conducted emergency monitoring in connection with the rise in prices for 1 loaf of bread from 100 to 120 tenge.

During the monitoring, it was found that entrepreneurs independently raise the prices of bread without notifying local executive bodies.

In connection with this situation, a meeting with the participation of competent authorities and entrepreneurs was held urgently under the chairmanship of Deputy Akim of the region K. Madibek.

In this regard, it was agreed with entrepreneurs to keep the price for 1 loaf of bread to 100 tenge.

From November 2, 2023, 1 loaf of bread is sold on the shelves at a price of 100 tenge.
