Discussion of issues of reducing prices for socially important food products

The Department of Trade and Consumer Protection in the city of Shymkent held a meeting (round table) with representatives of large flour milling enterprises, such as LLP «Dani-Nan», LLP «Grain House 555», LLP «PIONEER Grain Products», LLP «Altyn-Dan» where issues such as the rise in price of flour and factors were discussed, which influenced this trend.

According to the flour producers themselves, it follows that a sharp rise in the price of flour is associated with expensive raw materials (wheat) purchased in the northern regions.

The Department, together with the «regional commission for the investigation of intermediary schemes along the entire pricing chain» in the city of Shymkent, is working to reduce prices for socially important food products, including reducing the price of flour, within the approved algorithm.
