Work of the regional commission of Shymkent city on investigation of intermediary schemes along the whole chain of pricing of food products

Department of Trade and Consumer Protection in Shymkent at the regular meeting of the regional commission on September 29 of this year considered such pressing issues as, preventing agitation among the population associated with a sharp rise in prices for such socially important food products such as flour and sugar.

Representatives of flour producers (flour milling enterprises) such as: «PIONEER Grain Products» LLP, «Dani-Nan» LLP, «Altyn-Dan» LLP, «TURAR» LLP, «DOS» LLP and others were invited to the meeting. Large distribution companies selling flour and sugar – «KaIs Invest» LLP (representation of sugar center As-An), «Meir-Trade Distribution Company» LLP, «Ontustik Kant» LLP, «Sidelnikov Vyacheslav Alexandrovich» IP, representatives of trade markets – «Barys» market, «Zhibek Zholy» market, «Aina» market and other representatives of trade entities were also invited.

At the commission meeting, these business representatives were interviewed and instructions were given to all competent authorities to prevent unreasonable pricing.

According to the results of the earlier work of the regional commission, there is currently a decrease in prices for flour by an average of 21%, for sugar by an average of 6%.

In addition, the district akimats were instructed to create mobile groups in the reporting territory and to work on the conclusion of memorandums with trade entities (convenience stores, shopping centers, etc.) on not exceeding the trade markup on the socially important food products by more than 15%. Work in this direction is ongoing.
