Work of the Regional Commission

Department of Trade and Consumer Protection in the city of Shymkent at the regular meeting of the Commission on September 22 of this year considered such pressing issues as, preventing agitation among the population associated with a sharp rise in prices for such socially important food products, such as flour and sugar.

On September 23, members of the commission monitored prices in all city markets, warehouses, retail chains and convenience stores. At the same time, the field regional commission involved local media (Ontustik TV and Otyrar TV) to refute misleading information about the shortage of flour and sugar in the city, as well as to reduce social tension among the population of the city.

Also, the Commission was instructed to monitor prices by downloading electronic invoices and reports of fiscal data on cash registers according to the Department of State Revenue in Shymkent city for further development according to the algorithm to identify the excess of trade markup in the sale of socially important food products.
