Almaty hosted a visiting reception of citizens on the issues of rising prices for food products

At the site of the social institution "House of Social Services", the head of the Department of Trade in Almaty of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Gennady Daniyarov held a field reception of an initiative group of citizens led by public figure R.B. Amirbekova.

During the reception with citizens, problematic issues were discussed about the causes and consequences of rising prices for food products, as well as about the work of agricultural food fairs.

Citizens were informed about the measures taken to curb prices for socially important food products, in order to prevent unjustified overstatement of prices, as well as about the processes of the regional commission to investigate intermediary schemes throughout the food pricing chain, with the participation of authorized state bodies. It is noted that comprehensive work is being carried out with unscrupulous entrepreneurs who "artificially" influence the increase in the value of NWT, who are engaged in buying and further reselling food products, without any supporting documents, to further exclude them from the illegal trade process.

"Together with the Department of Entrepreneurship and Investment, agricultural food fairs are held weekly, every Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in five districts of the city, where there is a favorable infrastructure that helps farmers directly sell their products to citizens at affordable prices, without the participation of intermediaries, therefore, food products are sold at prices below the market by 10-15%, also, we constantly analyze the process of the fairs and for the purpose of preventive measures, the segment of goods sold is being studied," explained Gennady Daniyarov.

As a result of the meeting, all available issues related to socially significant food products were discussed and comprehensive answers were given to citizens.
