During the holidays, prices for socially significant food products are under special control in the West Kazakhstan region!

On the eve of the December holidays, employees of the Department of Trade, together with local executive bodies, carry out daily visits to food markets, supermarkets and shops at home in order to prevent unjustified price increases for socially significant food products during the pre-holiday period.

Over the past week, the consumer price index for NWT in the West Kazakhstan region amounted to 100.1%. There is a slight increase in prices for chicken meat and eggs of category C1.

At the same time, there is a decrease in prices for buckwheat, sunflower oil, sugar. For other types of socially significant food products, prices have been stabilized over the past month.

Taking into account the fact that the increase in prices for key goods is directly related to the increase in demand for them, we ask entrepreneurs of our region not to allow unreasonable price increases on pre-holidays and holidays.

We remind you that in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Regulation of Trade activities", business entities are obliged to comply with the established maximum trade allowance for the implemented socially significant food productsno more than 15% of the purchase price, in case of violation of this norm, administrative liability is provided for business entities in the form of fines in the amount of 10 MCI (30,630 tenge) up to 300 MCI (918,900 tenge), depending on the entrepreneur's trading turnover.
