On December 1 of this year, the Eurasian Trade Congress was held in Almaty at the 16th International Purchasing Congress of Retailers and Suppliers WORLD OF Trade WORLD OF TRADE 2022.

With the support of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the organizer of this event is the International operator of business events of the retail industry EXIM EXPO.

The First Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shakkaliev Arman Abayevich took part in the Congress.

In addition, large and medium-sized retailers, manufacturers, suppliers and distributors, vendors and suppliers from the countries of Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Belarus took part in the work of the World Trade International Purchasing Center.

For retail chains, the Convention has become a reliable partner in the search for new manufacturers. For suppliers to take part in the Convention means to expand the boundaries of the supply of their goods, and not limited to the country that produces them, but also beyond its borders. Thanks to many concluded deals over the years of its work, the World of Trade Convention has established itself as an effective negotiating platform.

"Currently, the share of modern trade formats in Kazakhstan has reached 31% of all retail. But at the same time, in comparison with other countries, this indicator is still quite low, so in neighboring Russia it is about 75%, in some European countries it is more than 80-90%.

The main role in increasing trade turnover is played by modern trade formats that provide a wide range of products and conduct various promotions, thanks to which you can purchase certain goods at lower prices. Along with this, each subject of the trading network strives to create the best conditions for the buyer by providing them with large trading halls, high quality and level of service.

In this regard, the Ministry, in order to develop civilized trade, supports the development of retail chains as the most effective modern format of trade. The issues of trade, product quality and consumer protection are constantly intertwined and mostly have a systematic nature, in this regard, we approach their solution in a comprehensive manner," said First Vice Minister of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shakkaliev Arman Abayevich.
