First Vice-Minister Arman Shakkaliyev met with residents and entrepreneurs of the Karaganda region. During the meeting, a resident of the city of Karaganda, Rauana Dauylbaeva, asked a question about the off-season increase in prices for socially significant food products. Arman Shakkaliyev explained in detail that the government intends to stay ahead of the off-season price growth events by financing agricultural producers in early periods.
«It should be noted that the stabilization fund will be formed precisely for the purposes of commodity interventions in the off-season. For its part, the state is working to curb prices for socially significant food products, if there are facts of unjustified price overstatement on the part of individual trade entities, then we will respond immediately», – the First Vice Minister explained.
In addition, during the working trip, it became known that in the Karaganda region, the multifunctional trade and warehouse complex «Global City» uses new technologies - climate control in the storage of socially significant food products.
According to the First Vice Minister, there are nine operating private wholesale distribution centers in the country. They are equipped with climate control equipment that meet modern standards of storage, both vegetable products and food in general, and one of the largest ORC is located in the Karaganda region.
«Today we visited the Wholesale and Distribution Centers «Global City», which provides a full range of warehouse and logistics services for the storage of fruits and vegetables, meat and dairy products, as well as JSC «Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation «Saryarka» with a vegetable storage area of more than 3000 thousand m2. The use of climate control allows you to save the socially significant food products in the winter-spring period and sell products to consumers in sufficient volume at a stable price,» - Arman Shakkaliyev said.
Also, the First Vice Minister said that Kazakhstan is implementing the creation of a network of the National Commodity Distribution System (NCS) by introducing a unified information system, connecting existing private Wholesale and Distribution Centers, Social and Entrepreneurial Corporation and other trade entities to it. The creation of the NCS will ensure interaction between trade entities, solve issues of internal product flows between regions, ensure transparency of pricing, predictability, legalize shadow turnover of products and generally have a positive macroeconomic effect.
