22 stores near the house in the West Kazakhstan region are warned about the need to comply with the trade allowance for socially significant food products no more than 15%

The Department of Trade of the West Kazakhstan region conducts explanatory work with entrepreneurs operating in the field of food trade, within which the Department's employees have been visiting small grocery stores on a weekly basis since the beginning of September 2022 and explaining the current norms of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the framework of regulating trade activities, food security and price stabilization. Also, operational visits with inspections to stores have been carried out, for which complaints are received to the Department's Call-center on the facts of overcharging.

Visits were organized in 22 store houses, including 4 stores on complaints received, in different parts of the city, memos were provided with the basic requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan and measures of responsibility in order to prevent an increase in prices for socially significant food products (SSFP).

All entrepreneurs are sympathetic to these requirements, comply with the established norms and are only concerned that wholesale prices for SSFP are constantly growing, and therefore they have to change the price tags for goods.

According to the results of inspections of stores that receive complaints, only one actually has a violation in terms of not issuing a price tag for the SSFP in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Trading Activities", the entrepreneur was officially notified of the violation and the need to eliminate them. Basically, complaints from customers relate to those goods that do not belong to the SSTP (water, premium bread, eggs of categories C0 and C2, milk 3.2% and 6%, beef meat that does not belong to the shoulder-chest part)

Recall that in accordance with the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan "On Trade Activities", trade entities must set the size of the maximum trade allowance for SSFP no more than 15% of the manufacturer's selling price or the purchase wholesale price, and also have appropriate price tags for the goods sold.

For violation or non-compliance with these norms, a fine is provided in the amount of 6 to 10 MCI for small businesses, 10-75 MCI for medium-sized businesses and 30-300 MCI for large businesses.
