A memorandum has been signed in the Pavlodar region on laying the necessary volume of potatoes, carrots and ensuring a fixed price for products for the winter-spring period of 2022-2023.

By tradition, a memorandum on providing the local market with potatoes and carrots in the off-season was signed in the Pavlodar region.

Last year, for the winter period, a memorandum was signed with 33 agricultural producers of the region on laying potatoes on the domestic market in the amount of 30 thousand tons and 6.1 thousand tons of carrots, including for the sale of 5,000 tons of potatoes and 1,120 tons of carrots in social stores, 25,000 tons of potatoes and 5,000 tons of carrots at weekly fairs.

In fact, 8,120 tons of potatoes or 27% and 2,900 tons of carrots or 47% were sold over the entire period.

The sale of potatoes and carrots was carried out at a price of 95 tenge/ kg from the warehouses of farms, in the retail network the price was 115 tenge / kg, in large retail chains – 125 tenge / kg, at agricultural fairs held at 95 tenge/ kg.

Thanks to the work carried out, the price of potatoes remained unchanged throughout the entire period of implementation. Thanks to the joint efforts, the prices of potatoes and carrots were kept in the necessary corridor.

This year, on October 10, the akim of the region met with 36 agricultural producers - potato growers of the region to sign a memorandum on laying potatoes and carrots for the winter-spring period of 2022-2023.

20,000 tons of potatoes and 5,000 tons of carrots will be laid in order to provide social points of Pavlodar, the Farmer's Market and weekly agricultural fairs with potatoes and carrots. The monthly planned sales volume of potatoes is 2857 tons, carrots - 714 tons, in accordance with the vacation schedule under the memorandum.

The selling price from vegetable storages for the entire period is 100 tenge/kg. In the retail network and at the farmer's market, the price of potatoes and carrots will be 120 tenge / kg, at agricultural fairs - 100 tenge/kg.
