In the regions of Kazakhstan, local executive bodies conclude memorandums with large retail chains to reduce the trade markup to 10%, the press service of the Trade Committee of the MTI RK sauda_komiteti reports.
40 memoranda have already been concluded in Shymkent, Almaty, Kostanay, Aktobe, Atyrau, Abai, Turkestan regions, East Kazakhstan Region, West Kazakhstan Region, with large retail chains such as «Magnum», «Small», «Anvar», «Astykzhan», etc. This measure will allow large retail chains in Kazakhstan to reduce prices for socially important food products.
«The Trade Committee has compiled a register of retail chains, there are 109 and 1458 branches across the country today, akimats are working to attract memorandums to sign. As of today, 40 memorandums have already been signed, the rest are at the stage of approval,» - Yerzhan Kazanbaev, chairman of the MIT Trade Committee, informed.
Recall that earlier the Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, held a conference call to ensure food security and contain prices for socially significant food products, where the issue of the need to conclude memorandums on compliance with the trade margin for socially significant products of no more than 10% was considered.
Also, the MIT Trade Committee, in order to increase the reliability of the analysis of data on the dynamics of price growth for basic foodstuffs, included public control: a call center was created to receive requests from residents for inflated prices for products included in the list of NWPT. Complaints are also accepted through the MIT social media accounts Instagram sauda_komiteti and Facebook, sauda_inform.
