Buckwheat producers have made proposals to increase production and stabilize prices

On August 24 of this year, the head of the Department of Trade of the East Kazakhstan region, Daniyar Dyusembayev, held a meeting with representatives of Vertex Vostok LLP and Groats of the East LLP for the production of buckwheat groats.

These producers are major processors of buckwheat in the East Kazakhstan region.

The meeting discussed topical issues on the processing of raw materials, issues on the financing system in order to avoid shortages and price increases, problems of purchasing raw materials from farms.

Producers noted that the main problem of their enterprises is the shortage and high price of raw materials for processing buckwheat.

Entrepreneurs voiced problematic issues and gave proposals for subsidizing the industry, which will lead to an increase in buckwheat production in the domestic market and to price stabilization.
