During the preventive control, the trade allowance was reduced by 5-15%
Kazakhstan, being a country with a market economy, has introduced control of retail prices for socially significant food products (SSFP), the purpose of which is to ensure fair and predictable pricing.
The Trade Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan recalled that the list of SSFP includes 19 food products, cereals and vegetables (flour of the 1st grade, bread from flour of the 1st grade (molded), horns (weight), buckwheat (weight), rice (weight), potatoes, carrots, onions, cabbage, granulated sugar, sunflower oil, beef (shoulder-breast part with bones), chicken meat (femur and tibia), milk 2.5% fat content in soft packaging, kefir 2.5% fat content in soft packaging, butter (unsalted, not less than 72.5% fat content), chicken egg (category I), table salt (except "Extra"), cottage cheese 5 – 9% fat content).
At the same time, the permissible size of the marginal trade allowance is no more than 15% of the selling price of the manufacturer or the purchase price of the wholesale supplier. Exceeding 15% entails administrative liability on the basis of Article 204-4 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan .
In order to prevent an unjustified increase in prices for SSFP, the Trade Committee coordinates akimats to control the trade allowance in stores "at home".
Over the past week, 40.3 thousand stores "at home" were raided, in which 734 violations of the trade allowance were revealed.
The most violations were detected in Nur-Sultan (278) and East Kazakhstan region (80).
Then in Turkestan region (38), West Kazakhstan region (33), Kostanay region and Mangystau region (32 each), Zhetysu region (30).
Then followed by Almaty region (28), Atyrau region (27), Almaty and Zhambyl region (23 each), Akmola region (21).
In Pavlodar region - 17, Aktobe region - 13, North Kazakhstan region -12, Karaganda region and Kyzylorda region (11 each), Abai region and Shymkent (10 each).
The smallest number of violations were detected in Ulytau region (6).
The work carried out is reflected in the independent reduction of trade margins by business entities. Thus, as a result of the clarifications, retail facilities independently reduced their trade surcharges on SSFP to 5-15%.
At the same time, administrative measures were applied for exceeding the trade allowance, 126 administrative protocols were drawn up in the form of a warning against subjects of internal trade, 1 fine was imposed.
As noted in the Trade Committee, inspections cover both large cities and regional centers, as well as district centers. The monitoring groups also include representatives of the public and political parties.
