Today, on March 14, 2022, Chairman of the Trade Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerzhan Kazanbayev in the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan spoke about the current situation regarding the monitoring of prices for NWT.
According to Kazanbayev, according to the BNS, prices for socially important food products increased by 0.2% over the past week.
"Cabbage has gone up the most by 1.6%, sugar by 0.6% and potatoes by 0.5%. In the context of regions, the maximum price increase for the week was allowed in the Mangystau region by 0.8%, in the Kostanay and Kyzylorda regions by 0.4%," the head of the Trade Committee said.
In addition, according to the OFD, prices for the week increased by 0.6%.
Also, together with the MIO, work is constantly being carried out to control prices for each food item, including monitoring compliance by trade entities with the permissible trade allowance.
At the same time, work is underway to control the prices of gas stations.
Currently, work is continuing on previously initiated 7 investigations on signs of anticompetitive coordinated actions to increase prices for NWT in Kostanay, Karaganda, Akmola, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan, for the production of fertilizers in Mangistau region and Almaty.
It is noted that 7 acts of antimonopoly compliance have been concluded to prevent violations of the legislation in the field of competition protection, as well as in terms of reducing the trade premium on NWPT from 15 to 10% when they are implemented.
In the context of regions, the work of commissions to investigate intermediary schemes throughout the pricing chain has been strengthened with the adoption of appropriate measures.
"Dear journalists, I would like to comment on the situation on sugar on behalf of the Ministry. To date, there is no shortage of this socially significant food product in the country. At the same time, the production of sugar from raw sugar and its import continue. The reserves available in the country are constantly replenished. In general, in the shops of the Magnum retail chain in the Republic of Kazakhstan, sales over the past 5 days amounted to 528 tons, and 5 days without a rush 172 tons. I note that the information that in three months the reserves will be depleted and there will be a shortage of sugar is not true," Yerzhan Kazanbayev concluded.
Recall that on March 12, under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov, a meeting was held on the issues of NWTT, at which specific instructions were given to all regions, including regions that allowed the maximum price increase.
