The Republic of Kazakhstan has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the “South – West” Roads Development Project, Reconstruction of the Corridor ““Center – South” Road Section “Kurty- Burylbaital”, , and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for :
The Committee for roads of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Civil Works for Road reconstruction of section “Kurty- Burylbaital”, Km 2295-2380, the first B Category Road with asphalt pavement ( four lane) in Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The scope of major Works and construction duration are:
Lot 1: 1 600 thousand m3 of earthworks , 424 thousand m3 of granular pavement and 210 thousand m3 of asphalt work. The construction duration is 30 months .
Lot 2: 1 100 thousand m3 of earthworks , 422 thousand m3 of granular pavement and 162 thousand m3 of asphalt work. The construction duration is 20 months
Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Committee for Roads of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructural Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, officer in charge - Mr. Rafkhat Berkutbaev, e-mail: r.berkutbayev@miid.gov.kz, k.utepbergenov@miid.gov.kz and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from 9.00 AM to 18.30 PM at the address given below:

A complete set of bidding documents in English (electronic version) may be obtained by interested eligible bidders free of cost upon the submission of a written application to the address below .
Bids must be delivered to the address as below before August 23, 2021, 15.30 (Local time in Nur-Sultan, the Republic of Kazakhstan). Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on August 23, 2021 at 16.00 (Local time in Nur-Sultan, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of US$ 650,000 (Six Hundred Fifty Thousand US Dollars) and US$ 800, 000 (Eight Hundred Thousand US Dollars) or an equivalent amount in another freely convertible currency for lot 1 and 2 respectively.
