Ethics Councils of the Agency were formed in 2016 on the basis of the previously existing Disciplinary Boards.
The main goal of their creation was to shift priorities from consideration of disciplinary misconduct of employees to ensure high ethical standards in government agencies and prevent violations of ethical rules.
Ethics councils along with the consideration of disciplinary cases are entitled to review the results of the analysis of corruption risks, issues on the prevention of violations of the law, the activities of ethics representatives and the activities of disciplinary commissions of state bodies.
