On January 29 of 2019, a regular meeting of the Ethics Commission chaired by the Deputy Chairman of the Agency Olzhas Bektenov was held at the Agency for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption. The meeting considered a disciplinary case against the deputy chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Ospanov. It should be noted that the basis for the Agency’s official investigation was the materials received from the Ministry of Culture and Sports and the administrative response of the police in relation to Ospanov.
According to the results of an official investigation in the actions of Ospanov Ye.K. there was found a violation of the Ethical Code of civil servants of the Republic of Kazakhstan, expressed in being in public places under the influence of alcohol, insulting human dignity and public morality.
Following the meeting, the Ethics Commission decided to recommend imposing a disciplinary penalty on the Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Yerlan Ospanov in the form of a severe reprimand.
