"It is impossible to educate according to books, because each person is a unique individual. It is wrong to educate without books, because no one has surpassed the millennial wisdom."
Therefore, using the capabilities of the library is the most effective way to educate convicts in the institution of UIS No. 68.
In this regard, The Librarian of the institution Kashkynbay Diyas Bolatovich closely monitors the updating of books in the library, as well as the write-off of old books.
The library is of great importance in the education of convicts. It is not easy to re-educate criminals who have committed crimes without obeying the laws of the country. We pay great attention to reading books by prisoners in order to free the minds of convicts from negative thoughts, enrich them spiritually, and re-educate their attitude to life. Yes, they have different views, even the demand for reading books. One wants Class Works, and the other simply reads magazines with colorful pictures.
We are constantly working to update the book collection, depending on the needs of the convicts.
I accept new books and write off old books with torn covers and pages over the years.
In particular, recently, with the support of sponsors and employees of the institution, new books were collected, and the library fund was replenished with 114 books.
We have written off 73 old books that were found to be unusable.
To date, the library of the institution has 4542 books.
That is, each convicted person has the opportunity to write and read 20 books per year, – shared the young employee Dias Bolatovich.
