A resident of Zhambyl region was detained, who promised to release an inmate in a UIs institution for money

A resident of the city of Shu applied to the police department. A 57-year-old woman said that a man promised to help free her son from prison. For his activities, he asked for funds in the amount of 3 million tenge, but after receiving the money, he ran away under various pretexts.
In relation to this fact, a pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 1 of Article 190 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan (fraud).
During operational search activities, police officers of the Shu district identified and detained a 32-year-old local resident.
The necessary operational and investigative measures are being carried out to establish all the detailed circumstances of the case.
For the commission of this crime, in accordance with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a penalty is provided in the form of confiscation of property, restriction of freedom for a period of up to two years, or imprisonment for the same period.
