Heroin on a particularly large scale was tried to be transferred to the convict in the colony of Astana

During the verification of operational information by the staff of the Astana DUIS institution, during the inspection of a parcel intended for a convict from a resident of the capital, an attempt to transfer narcotic drugs, namely heroin weighing about 6 grams, was stopped.

The discovered drugs were “camouflaged” in a clever way, by impregnating cotton pads with a liquid containing heroin.

A pre-trial investigation is being conducted on this fact.

– Thanks to the professionalism and vigilance of the staff of the operational department of institution No. 2 and the metropolitan department, the drug supply channel to the institution was stopped. The work in this direction is under special control, – comments the head of the Department of Internal Affairs of Astana Daulet Rakhimbekov.
