On the eve of the New Year, 19 liters of alcohol were sent to the colony of East Kazakhstan region

In the East Kazakhstan region, the staff of the institution, while on duty, forcibly detained two persons who tried to throw a New Year's gift in the form of a strong drink over the main fence.

During the events, 19 bundles wrapped with tape were seized, inside of which there was a liquid substance with the smell of alcohol. The total amount seized was 19 liters of alcohol.

They explained their actions by the desire to earn extra money on New Year's Eve. Unknown persons asked them to transfer the “forbidden girl" to the colony for a good reward.

An administrative protocol has been drawn up against the offender under Article 481 of the Administrative Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Transfer of prohibited substances, products and objects to persons held in institutions of the penal enforcement system, special institutions”. The sanction of this article entails a warning or a fine in the amount of 10 MCI.
