At a meeting with residents of Abay district, the chairman of the committee of the penitentiary system answered their questions. He also informed about the work of internal affairs bodies.
In his speech, Zhanat Yeshmagambetov noted that the ministry is actively working on important and qualitative changes. He noted that global comprehensive useful reforms are also being carried out in the penitentiary system.
The current legislation aimed at improving the social protection of employees, as well as the legal situation of convicts, is being improved. Mass video surveillance is being introduced in penitentiary institutions, which excludes "invisible zones".
Methods of probation control of registered persons are being improved, remote control devices "electronic bracelets" are being introduced, which allow providing remote control and prompt response to any violations. After the main meeting with the population, Zhanat Yeshmagambetov, together with representatives of local executive bodies, held a personal reception with citizens. In addition, during the working visit, the chairman of the committee visited the institution No. 29, where he got acquainted with the progress of the introduction of mass video surveillance and a number of other innovations.
After visiting the institution, the head of the UIS met with the personnel and awarded the best employees of the region.
