UIs employees found out the location of hidden weapons and ammunition

In Almaty and Zhetysu regions, employees of the institution No. 71 of the DUIs of Almaty and Zhetysu regions, together with the DP of the Zhetysu region, carried out operational work to identify the location of weapons and ammunition stolen during the January events.
As a result of the conducted operational search activities, a Baikal pistol with one barrel, one SPSH pistol, two Makarov pistols with a barrel and 16 cartridges of 9 mm caliber were found under concrete slabs on the outskirts of the village of Shimyr, Eskeldinsky district.
Also, in the ditch near the village of Tastobe, Karatal district, two ammunition boxes with 6 cartridges were found.
-In Almaty and Semirechye regions, work continues with subordinate institutions of the DUIs to identify the facts of illegal storage of weapons and ammunition and determine the location of stolen weapons, – said Deputy Head of the DUIs Kanat Ashov.
Both facts are registered in the Unified Register of pre-trial investigations.
