Colonies renamed in Kazakhstan

Now, instead of a letter index, institutions will be assigned their own ordinal numbers.
On August 8 this year, the order" on approval of the Constituent documents of Republican state institutions of the committee of the Penal correction system of the Ministry of internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan " was signed by the Minister of Internal Affairs.
In accordance with this document, abbreviations indicating the territorial affiliation of UIS divisions will be replaced by ordinal numbers.
For example, the emergency Security Institution EC-166/5, which is subordinate to the capital'S DUIs, will be known in the Republican register as "institution No. 2".
Relatives of detainees, as well as other interested persons, can get acquainted with the revised list of colonies and pre-trial detention centers on the departmental website of the committee of the Penal correction system.
Today, 79 UIs institutions operate in the country.
