Implementation of probation control by means of electronic bracelets

To ensure proper probation control and obtain information about the location of convicted persons, the Probation Service uses electronic monitoring tools.
In the Department of the Probation Service of Akkayyn District of the DUIs of North Kazakhstan region, there are 3 autonomous GPS devices for remote identification and tracking of the location of a convicted person on the signals of the Global Navigation Satellite System GLONASS/GPS.
The decision on the use of electronic control means to the convicted person is drawn up by a resolution and announced to the convicted person and persons living with him / her, while explaining the responsibility for damage to the equipment, the specifics of the use of electronic control means, as well as handing over a memo on the use against signature.
"Employees of the Probation Department collect information using data from the monitoring panel. All registered persons are monitored 24 hours a day, as the movement of convicts is calculated every minute. On the map, we can not only track the location of the convicted person in real time, but also track the entire route of movement," said Bauyrzhan Ibrayev, head of the Probation Service Department.
