A lecture dedicated to the International Day of Nelson Mandela was held in the capital's pre-trial detention center

July 18 is the International Day of Nelson Mandela, a famous politician and statesman of South Africa, who in 1994 became the first black president of South Africa, a fighter against apartheid, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1993.
In this regard, on July 15, 2022, in the premises of the educational work of the EC-166/1 Institution of the Department of Penal Correction in Nur-Sultan, a lecture on the life of the aforementioned politician was held for convicts of the economic service detachment, at the end of which an intellectual quiz was held to consolidate the material.
The honorary guests of the event were the head of the Public Fund "Rehabilitation Technologies and Concepts" Kulzhabayeva Orynbasar Moldashevna and the inspector of the group for educational work with convicts, Major of Justice Kaldybaev S.Zh.
— Nelson Mandela's contribution to the development of South Africa has become enormous. It is difficult to estimate the full scope of social reforms carried out by him during the 5 years of his rule. And all this was implemented despite 27 years of imprisonment. I think this extensive lecture on the life path of the legendary public and political figure will become a kind of lesson for our wards, will allow us to understand that each of them still has everything ahead of them, and there is always a chance to change their lives, regardless of the mistake made.
In such wonderful words, the deputy head of the institution, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice Rakhimov K. summed up the results of the event.
