Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytbek Smagul visited the institution of Uis in Kyzylorda region

Deputy Smagul Bakytbek, who arrived in the region on a working visit, first visited the institution, got acquainted with the life and work of the personnel. Then, with the participation of the Department of UIs and the management of the institution, a meeting was held among the personnel. During the meeting, Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakytbek Smagul familiarized with the purpose of his visit. During the conversation with the personnel , the deputy spoke about the projects implemented in the Ministry of internal affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in particular, the work on the transition of the Internal Affairs sphere to a service model, the introduction of digitalization and deburocratization of the concept of "listening state".
In his speech, the deputy also expressed gratitude to the personnel for their untimely service during the January events in the state of emergency, for their vigilance in the protection of the country's security, including women who worked side by side with men, for their work in the interests of the state, and for their conscientious work in the interests of the country, protecting the peace and strengthening the country's independence in a critical hour.
During the meeting with the personnel of the institution, the deputy discussed significant changes and additions to the criminal and Criminal Procedure legislation, as well as heard the proposals of employees on further improvement of regulatory legal acts in this area.
At the end of his speech, he noted that the Constitution does not allow torture, violence against anyone, other cruel or degrading treatment of human dignity or punishment, and, referring to the words of our president "the first wealth is health", did not allow the facts of torture and humiliation of personnel in the daily work with convicts.
As a result of the event, acting head of the Department of UIS, Lieutenant Colonel of Justice zh.Abdikairov, there are about 1,200 convicts in the pre-trial detention center ZK-169/1, mixed Security Institution ZK - 169/4 and high security institutions ZK - 169/1 of the Department of UIs of Kyzylorda region. About 1000 convicts are registered in 2 City 7 district probation facilities under the Department. Among them, more than 400 certified employees work in correctional institutions and Probation Services.
In accordance with the instructions of the president, in order to avoid "blind areas" in correctional institutions, the office premises of institutions are fully equipped with video surveillance cameras. In turn, zh. Abdykairov thanked the deputy for the visit and concluded that it is our honor and duty to carry out our activities to the state at the proper level.
