Ust-Kamenogorsk entrepreneur employed 20 convicted citizens

Employees of the institution OV-156/22 of the Department of the Penal correction system of East Kazakhstan region provide constant support for the employment of convicts. Now they work in one of the largest LLP companies in the city as a Packer and disassembler and earn a living.
The analysis showed that the majority of those who commit crimes again are those who have not found a permanent place of work. In order to prevent offenses, the Department of the Penal correction system of the region is taking appropriate measures.
"Employment of convicted persons is one of the main tasks of the UIS institution and probation officers. For example, recently, as part of cooperation with a company in Ust-Kamenogorsk, an agreement was signed on the employment of convicts. Currently, 20 convicts are employed. Now they receive a monthly salary and make a profit," the Department's management shared.
