Photos of convicts adorn the capital's nursing home

The Cuis handed over 15 paintings and 3 handicrafts to the boarding house for the elderly of the capital.
A charity event dedicated to the day of gratitude was organized by the committee of the Penal correction system. The paintings and handicrafts were prepared by convicted prisoners in the framework of the Republican contest "Umit".
The annual contest of paintings and Applied Arts is held to maintain a healthy moral and psychological climate among convicts, foster their aesthetic perception and a friendly attitude to the surrounding activities.
Among the convicts, the head of the Department of educational and social and psychological work Bibigul Munaitpasova hopes that "Endless Mountains", "transparent lakes" and "wide Kazakh steppes" built by prisoners will give guests of the nursing home "kumis gasyr" bright memories and peace of mind.
Last year, 44 convicts took part in the" Umit-2021 " competition with 47 different works, including 25 paintings and 22 more products.
Works that won prizes are put up for NFT-auction, and the proceeds are transferred to children in need.
