A citizen named K., who is currently serving a sentence in the institution EC-166/1 of the Department of Uis in Nur-Sultan, was released under amnesty. He was sentenced to 4 years in prison under Article 106 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan. When he left 2 years behind, and now he has two years left, he suddenly heard the happy news.
"My lawsuit is over. The long-awaited amnesty has already begun. To be honest, I'm not one of the lucky ones. So a random fight just got me out of prison. When I heard that" out of the number of convicts in the Department of economic services, only two people are eligible to submit documents", I did not think at all, and I did not even believe that I would be one of them, " the serving man said.
The convicted person was helped by specialists of the Educational Department of the institution to collect all the necessary documents and prepare an application. Three weeks later, a court session was held.
"I don't remember exactly how the process went. I was very excited and hoped to get out. When the decision was announced and the head of the squad said that my term had been shortened, I could not believe it. Then I was congratulated by the guys of our squad, and the inspector of the special department said that now it is necessary to apply for parole. I do not know anyone else, but I would like to thank our President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, who passed a law that allows us to feel such freedom," says the convicted person who was released prematurely.
