Internet parcels are sent by relatives to convicted relatives

During the quarantine restrictions, Kazakhstanis send parcels online, in a couple of clicks they place an order, select the necessary goods and pay for them through the electronic application of Kaspi Bank.
Relatives can send the parcel to 46 penitentiary institutions of the country, five of which are already equipped with electronic terminals for convicted and remand prisoners. Full information and the offered assortment can be found on the official website of the electronic store "Convex".
This campaign was launched in 2019 as part of the joint program of "Convex" LLP and the Committee of the Penal Enforcement System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. When creating the project, the current legislation was taken as a basis, including the list of items and food allowed in the institutions of the penal system. Thus, citizens can choose a product without fear of its suitability.
The store is directly responsible for the assembly of food and basic necessities, which excludes the attempt to carry prohibited items and corruption offenses.
They master new technologies and are contained in high-security facilities. As of today, more than 4 thousand convicted and remand prisoners have switched from the special agent to the electronic procurement format. They order food and basic necessities through electronic terminals located on the territory of penitentiary institutions.
