A Flour Milling Workshop Operates at Institution No. 3 of the Department of the Penal System in Astana

A flour milling workshop producing feed flour is successfully operating at Institution No. 3 of the Department of the Penal (Criminal-Executive) System in Astana. The workshop was established by a limited liability partnership.

Nine convicted persons are employed in the production process on a permanent basis. The daily production volume is approximately 5 tons. The products are sold on the domestic market of the Republic of Kazakhstan as well as abroad.

The operation of the workshop contributes to the employment and resocialization of convicted persons, as well as to the development of small businesses and the strengthening of the country’s export potential.
