Information on pre-trial investigations against UIs employees under Article 146 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2019-2021
-For 12 months of 2019, 8 UIs employees were convicted on 3 pre – trial investigations: 7 UIs in Almaty region, 1 in Karaganda region. the pre-trial investigation was not completed against 7 UIs employees in East Kazakhstan region.
– In 2020, the pre – trial investigation (3) was not completed against 3 employees (DUIs in Kostanay region-1, North Kazakhstan Region-2).
For 9 months of 2021, 55 pre-trial investigations were registered on the use of torture by UIs employees (not a single employee was recognized as a suspect).
